The initiative

Bully Pulpit International surveyed 500 registered Los Angeles voters between February 26 and March 1, 2026. BizFed published the findings on March 25.

Published result

The survey reported 57% support for autonomous passenger services. Among respondents who had ridden in a Waymo, approval was 77%.

Why it matters

The research adds voter perspectives to regional discussions about transportation technology, passenger services and mobility.

Limits of the finding

This is a public opinion study, not an independent safety audit or proof that experience causes approval. BizFed published the research; it does not operate the vehicle service.
